Aston Hall
Located in the birmingham suburb of Aston, just under 7 miles from the airport, Aston Hall is a magnificent Jacobean mansion built between 1618 - 1635 for Sir Thomas Holte, 1st Baronet. It has been open to the public since the 1940s as a country house museum.
The hall has superb early 17th century interiors, including fine plasterwork ceilings, carved woodwork and stone chimneypieces.
More than twenty period rooms are open to the public during the summer months, displaying the furniture collections, pre-19th century British paintings, textiles, silver and other furnishings of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
