Plane leasing dispute hits Tehran flight
01.07.11
Passengers planning to fly to Tehran were caught up in a leasing dispute at Birmingham Airport yesterday. More than 100 passengers were affected by a dispute between Iranian airline Mahan Air and a leasing company.
Yesterday's 14:30 Mahan Air flight for Tehran had been grounded after GECAS Aircraft Leasing & Financing Solutions Company seized the plane due to operate the service. A number of passengers were transferred to another flight, but others were sent home. A representative for Mahan Air will be at the airport today to help those passengers unable to fly yesterday.
