New recruits join airport's environment team
01.08.08
Birmingham Airport has appointed staff to two new posts in its environment team. The two new positions – an environment systems officer and a community relations assistant – will help manage its environmental performance and in developing relations with the local community.
The two new recruits, Patrick Collins (environment systems officer) and Michelle Thomas (community relations assistant) will help mitigate the effects of the airport’s operations. A spokesman for the airport said that Patrick’s role will include helping the team develop its environment programmes, particularly on issues of air quality and climate change, whilst Michelle will work on community complaints and enable the team to take a greater role in managing local noise impacts.
