03.06.08
Travellers can now fly direct from Birmingham Airport to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, after bmibaby launched a new route last week. The budget airline started the new connection on May 27 and expects to carry more than 700 people between the two cities in the first week.
Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, said that the inaugural flight was 95 percent full and the number of forward bookings was ‘extremely encouraging’. bmibaby now serves 24 routes from Birmingham Airport, with Warsaw joining popular destinations including Alicante, Rome, Palma, Bordeaux and Edinburgh.
