Flybe announce £3 fuel surcharge
05.05.11
Flybe is adding a £3 fuel surcharge to bookings for flights departing from September 1 due to increased costs. The surcharge would apply for bookings made from today for flights departing on or after September 1, we assume because this is when its lower cost fuel bought in advance will run out.
The budget airline said that the charge would be removed if the price of crude oil dropped below $75 per barrel for a period of 28 consecutive days. Brent Crude is currently at $121 per barrel, and has not been at $75 for some time.
