BMI help CAA get Comtel passengers home
20.11.11
Flights are being arranged with BMI to help stranded passengers return home from India after the collapse of a UK-based travel agency caused Austrian airline Comtel Air to cancel all if its flights between Amritsar and Birmingham Airport. The cancellations have left around 180 people stranded in India.
Passengers are being offered special rates on BMI, with the CAA agreeing to refund them under its ATOL scheme. A CAA spokesman said: ‘We are organising special fares on BMI flights back to England that they will be able to take. They can then claim money back from the CAA to pay for the tickets.’
