Flybe says new credit card is a success
23.01.08
Flybe has said that its recently launched credit card has been a success. Applications for the low cost regional airline's new Spend & Fly credit card have been 'extremely robust', with the first cards being issued this month, a spokesman said.
Those who sign up for the Flybe Spend & Fly MasterCard receive one free return flight anywhere on the Flybe network once they have made their first transaction on the card - which the airline describes as 'spend once, fly free'.
The credit card is also integrated with Flybe's Rewards4all frequent flyer scheme. For every £250 spent on the Flybe MasterCard, members receive 1 point and once 16 points have been collected, they receive a further free fully transferable return flight. This equates to a free return flight for every £4,000 spent on the card.
Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer at Flybe, said: 'The Flybe Spend & Fly Card directly benefits our customers, adds value to the company and is part of our plans to continue pioneering industry innovation we have in other areas. We are constantly looking for ways to grow the Flybe brand and respond to customer needs. Our new credit card does exactly this by adding value to our existing customer service offering and setting us apart from other low cost airlines.'
