Flybe heavy late summer demand

Regional budget airline Flybe has reported heavy demand for late summer flights to France and Spain. Ticket sales to both destinations are up by 10% on last year, as Brits look for a last minute escape the dreary summer weather and enjoy a few days of summer sun.
The airline said that it is setting records for travel to traditional regional holiday destinations as well, including the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Scotland. As a result, Flybe is forecasting an overall 11% increase in its passenger numbers for this summer compared to 2007.
