Ryanair to axe Prague flights
29.04.10
Ryanair will cancel its flights to Prague from a number of airports including Birmingham by October after bosses at Ruzyne International Airport refused to lower fees.
The budget airline complained that fees in Prague were too high. Last month it offered to open a base in the Czech capital with six planes and 33 international routes in exchange for much lower airport fees. The airport declined and Ryanair will pull out.
A spokesman for the airport said that it regretted Ryanair's withdrawal but had no plans to change its pricing policy. Ryanair said it will cancel all flights to and from Prague, including to Stockholm; Dublin; Hahn near Frankfurt and Birmingham by October.
