Passengers at Birmingham airport slumped 8.6% in November. The figures demonstrate the ‘difficult conditions’ facing the aviation industry, according to the airport’s chief executive Paul Kehoe.
He said: ‘This winter season will be particularly tough for the industry, despite indications that confidence is beginning to return. November’s passenger downturn is indicative of the difficult conditions facing the industry as a whole. However, the we continue to discuss a number of possibilities with new airlines.’
