Viewing Field
A second aircraft viewing area at birmingham airport is outside and in the form of a 'viewing field'. Access to the field is through a footpath to the side of Eurohub, by the entrance to the long stay car park. You can take photographs at the viewing field.
The old terminal
The third location for aircraft viewing at birmingham airport is from the old terminal over the west side of the airfield. Access is via the A45 Coventry Road - follow the signs to the Cargo Freeport, go to the old terminal (beneath control tower) and you will find a set of concrete spiral steps. Photographs are possible from the old terminal of most aircraft, business jets and any cargo planes. Runway shots can also be taken.
The long stay airport car park
The final spot for plane spotting at birmingham airport is from the picnic area at the end of Long Stay Car Park 1. This is an excellent spot for runway shots. For more information on how to get to this car park and the costs (there will be costs) see our birmingham airport parking page.
