Birmingham airport terminal 1 (main terminal) - a guide
About birmingham airport main terminal (or terminal 1)
From the day birmingham airport was opened in 1939 until the opening of the Eurohub terminal (or terminal 2) in July 1991, this was the airports only terminal.
The terminal in its current form was opened in 1984. Although it is the older of the two terminals at birmingham airport, much work has been done to improve it since it opened, including recent refurbishment of the departure lounge, the arrivals area and work on the terminal's exterior and a new check-in concourse.
At the forefront of airport facilities, Birmingham Airport was the first Airport in the UK to have the wireless internet facility. The airport has wi-fi hot spots provided by iPass.
