Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Open to the public since 1832, Birmingham Botanical Gardens provide a relaxing green escape close to the city centre.
With the largest free lending horticulture and gardening library in the UK, this is the 'fresh air hub of the city'. You can stroll across the main lawn, walk around the old cottage and garden, wander through the London Terrace, potter around the varied glasshouses or explore the subtropical house.
The facilities at birmingham botanical gardens include the Pavillion Tea Room, art gallery and gift shop. An educational centre provides courses for adults and schools programmes.

Getting to the birmingham botanical gardens from the airport: First go by train: from the Birmingham International Interchange station to Birmingham New Street station. The journey time is 10 - 15 minutes and puts you in the city centre.

Opening: The gardens are open every day except on the Christmas day from 09:00 (10:00 on Sundays) until 19:00 or dusk if earlier.
